What problems does it cause

  • painful condition in which the finger clicks/locks during use
  • tenderness in the palm near the base of the affected finger
  • usually worse first thing in the morning
  • may require you to release the finger with the other hand

What solutions can be offered

  • mild cases can resolve on their own without treatment
  • up to two steroid injections
  • small operation to create more room for the tendon
