Your doctor’s advice

Radial head and neck fracture are common injuries in adults that often will settle in time. Please take time to listen to the videos to help with common questions you will have about managing your injury.

Do

  • Rest your arm initially to settle pain and selling
  • Painkillers can be used initially to help
  • Start to do gentle movements from 2 days after your injury
  • Gentle movements will help prevent elbow stiffness

Don’t

  • Do not keep your arm in a sling for more than 2 weeks
  • Do not forget to look at the physiotherapy advice videos
