Your doctor’s advice
Paediatric clavicle fractures are very common injuries in children that will heal and settle in time. A small ‘bump’ over the healing bone is normal for how the bone heals and nothing to worry about.
Please take time to listen to the videos to help with common questions.
Do
- Support the shoulder and collarbone initially in a sling
- Support the arm and shoulder on a night time with pillows as able
- Start gentle activity as per the physio advice videos
Don’t
- Do not worry if a bump develops over the collarbone, this is normal for bone healing
- Do not forget to look at the physiotherapy advice videos
